I think that the inaugural Eat, Sew, Laugh meet was a hit! The true meaning of "come rain, hail or shine" was demonstrated by those who arrived dripping on bikes, with brollies and gumboots. As commented by Jod, she was able to tick all three boxes in the short time she was there ... surely a measure of success!
Unfortunately no pics could be taken before the Eats were devoured, and still the Coconut Cake, finger sandwiches and carrot cake were not enough to keep busy girls satisfied so the cheese platter had to come out to keep us all going!
Projects included some baby knitters getting their skills up, mature knitters working on a beautiful scarf, jewellery making and sewing. I had hoped that I could put a pic up of my finished project for the blog but this one will have to do ... had to undo some work (need to learn my top from bottom - thanks Nec!) and once the gin came out, all incentive went out the window!
Dan also made good use of the machine being set up and took up two pairs of jeans so we may have an addition to the next meet!
